Participation Report: Electricity Security Advisory Board High-Level Meeting at IEA Headquarters

 Dr. OYAMA, President of the OCCTO, was cordially invited by the International Energy Agency (IEA) and participated in the following meeting held at the IEA Headquarters in Paris, France, on September 9, 2025.
 Morning session: Electricity Security Advisory Board(ESAB) High-Level Meeting
 Afternoon session: Electricity Security Task Force(ESTF)

 In the ESAB, our organization presented its role in Japan’s ongoing energy transition, focusing on the reinforcement of interconnection lines to facilitate greater use of renewable energy, the securing of flexibility and resilience, and the assurance of supply and balancing capacity through mechanisms such as the capacity market.

 The conference featured discussions on the latest challenges and initiatives in the electricity sector across various countries. Valuable insights were gained that can contribute to enhancing the stable power supply and resilience of Japan’s power system. OCCTO continues working to apply international knowledge and contribute to the stable power supply in Japan.
